SUMMER EXPRESSIONS

Choosing and using unusual containers is a matter of personal taste. I used cake tins as striking planters to help create a stylish metal-piece display with cacti of different varieties. Taking a look at everyday objects, like cake tins and tin cans, gives you ideas for indoor house plant arrangements. Experimenting sometimes, with old or discarded items, can give a new lease of life to them, as unusual plant containers. Here I grouped our cacti collection by filling the cake tin top with coloured pebbles & used other matching metallic finish objects, to make the table top attractive, thus creating a good summer display.   http://romantichome.blogspot.in/2012/05/show-and-tell-friday_10.html

Whether it is for dinner or brunch, with a bunch of friends or for an intimate two, it automatically sets the tempo, for some "us" time. The ritual of breaking bread with one another, reminds of our enduring symbol of bonding. No wonder, a lot has been said about a family that eats together stays together. To eat well is to live well, rings true even today.
