Tea with Nature

As summer comes to an end, everyone eagerly awaits the arrival of the monsoon. Who wouldn't love the rains, bringing with it, the fresh smell of  the wet earth. As I was sipping my tea one evening in the garden, at a far end I could see fast moving dark clouds move towards an unknown destination to pour down their treasures .. Yes, a feast for a long waiting dry earth. Seeing lots of dragon flies buzzing around in the air and ants collecting their grains tells us of the soon to arrive rain.

It is always nice to watch up in the sky, a line of bats and flocks of cranes crossing paths in the evening sky ... As the cranes fly back to their nest after a day long find, while the bats head out for their night find. Amazing, One can say this is natures mood and celebration.

As the sun was getting ready to retire for the day, and with the sky still bright, a thought of doing a quick tea scape came to my mind before the deepening twilight could set in. As a result, I quickly took out my camera, and these pretty coloured flower print cup and saucers and white kettle to go with, and set a tea scape on the terrace garden. Hope you like it.

  5. I just learned a very valuable lesson here! I always associated "monsoon" with something scary and negative, but the way you describe it it's just prolonged rains that nourish the earth which is definitely a good thing!!! Wow...you can actually see bats flying around outside??!?!!! You must live in a really amazing place to see all of this nature around you!!! Beautiful tea setting, and I really like the dishes you used! They are very happy!!! Enjoy your weekend and the glorious monsoon!

    1. Hi Alycia...you need not have to worry about Monsoon.you can change your opinion after reading this.we use the term monsoon for rainy season as the seasonal wind blows over the northern part of Indian ocean thus bringing rains after real hot summer.we welcome it.like summer getaways some people prefer monsoon getaways to some of sought after destinations, its a dream season.we have all kind of birds here to watch out.evening hundreds of bats fly some are double the size of a normal kite.i love the rains and thank you for your nice write up.

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. A Wedding to Remember.:)))

When two souls, which have sought each other for however long in the throng, have finally found each other, when they have seen that they are matched, in a word they are alike, compatible and established a union for ever between them. A union illuminated & pure for ever and ever.. This union is love, true love filled with full of sweetest delights & compassion. My second son Capt Siddharth and sweet Saumya tied the knot on 16th Feb. The wedding was a grand event with both the families coming together to bless the wonderful couple. Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
