A Cut Above ... Scape for Cheers

Crystal may be described as something which is full of of light. They exist in every style and are thus timeless in their elegance. Possessing objects of crystal, from chandeliers to champagne flutes, is a symbol of luxury. Crystal is a little more than just enhanced glass - it adds sparkle & can create a vintage look and is somewhere between reality and fantasy.

Numerous stories have been told in history of how kings, emperors, tzars, maharajas and aristocrats ordered and spent, to own best and the costliest crystal objects, to adore and cherish. Over the years Crystals have become delightful art objects in the decoration of homes. It has been created and designed in various forms that stay closely in touch with the current era. Crystal table wares embossed, etched and cut give a fine finishing touch to any place & setting

Me and my blog Crystal Grandeur takes the pleasure and opportunity in presenting our crystal ware collection here with some of the decanters, cut glasses and an ice cube bucket placed on a mirror with a fine carved wooden frame. Hope you like it. Cheers!!

Caring for your stored crystal ware collection

 - Store crystal pieces 'right side up (stem down) to help protect the delicate rims

 - Always give crystal breathing space in the storage area, since glasses expands in hot temperatures, the extra space will prevent, the pieces from touching one another and possibly getting damaged.

 - Wash crystals in lukewarm water.

 - Add vinegar to the rinse water to keep your precious crystal brilliant and spot free

 - Avoid twisting glasses from the base as this can break the piece.

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
