Mismatched blue and white setting:)

Mismatched tea setting in a common colour theme, blue and white. It's a cool colour combo for the eyes during  summer . It's peak of summer here and setting a table with blue and white china adds a playful note to a  nice evening. Drawan inspiration to set this table from the magazine 'Homes and Gardens' was fun. Loved placing a cute little ceramic donkey to the setting looked lovely and my choice.

  1. Another lovely setting. How comfortable one would feel sitting with you at this table. Love the way you put the dishes together. Perfection! My very favorite is the donkey. My mother had one similar years ago and my sister kept it when my mother passed. Lovely memories. Have a wonderful day.

  3. I love the sweetness of adding a beloved piece like the donkey to a setting for tea or coffee in the afternoon or evening. You can linger to sip a little bit longer while your mind wonders back to memories of other times and other places. This is a lovely setting indeed.

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. A Wedding to Remember.:)))

When two souls, which have sought each other for however long in the throng, have finally found each other, when they have seen that they are matched, in a word they are alike, compatible and established a union for ever between them. A union illuminated & pure for ever and ever.. This union is love, true love filled with full of sweetest delights & compassion. My second son Capt Siddharth and sweet Saumya tied the knot on 16th Feb. The wedding was a grand event with both the families coming together to bless the wonderful couple. Sharing few photos of the wedding in the blog- post today with rest of you all.:)))   Please visit Nap on the porch

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
